Listed below are the organizations that they are not only a member of, but also stays very active with. This allows them to not only learn from their peers in new advancements but also teach.
Dr. DeAndrade and Anthem Periodontics and Dental Implants is the founder and lead member in the Southern Nevada Premier Study Club. The club is affiliated with the ITI (The International Team Of Implantologists). The goal of the club is to further education for all dentists in the Las Vegas area. Dr. De Andrade sponsors each of the events held by the club and works hard to provide quality speakers to ensure the betterment of all dental practices in Las Vegas. The club holds monthly meetings that provide continuing education for dentists and their staff striving to keep excellence in dentistry across the southern Nevada territory.
The American Dental Association
We are proud members of the ADA. Founded in 1859, the American Dental Association is the oldest and largest national dental society in the world. Since then, the ADA has grown to become the leading source of oral health related information for dentists and their patients. The ADA is the professional association of dentists that fosters the success of a diverse membership and advances the oral health of the public. Their commitment is to the public’s oral health, ethics, science and professional advancement and access to care for all Americans. Periodontics is one of nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association.
American Board of Periodontology
Dr. DeAndrade is a proud diplomate with the American Board of Periodontology. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology.
To be educationally qualified for Board certification requires:
1.) Certification as a dentist, including basic college education and completion of dental school to earn the D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree and;
2.) Certification as a periodontist after successful completion of an educational program in Periodontology, which is accredited by Commission on Dental Accrediation of the American Dental Association.
3.) Comprehensive qualifying and oral examinations covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants. Recertification every six years.
International Congress of Oral Implantologists
Our doctors and Anthem Periodontics and Dental Implants are proud members of the ICOI. The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) was founded in 1972. Devoted to providing implant education to the entire dental team to better serve its patients, the ICOI is not only the world’s largest dental implant organization, but it is also the world’s largest provider of continuing dental implant education.
The ICOI is an association of general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, laboratory technicians, auxiliaries, industry representatives, researchers, faculty members, pre and post doctoral graduate dental students as well as the general public.
Southern Nevada Dental Society
We make sure to go above the standard practices required and demonstrates is by being an active member of the SNDS. The Southern Nevada Dental Society is the local component of the Nevada Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Member dentists must adhere to a code of ethics beyond that required by the state. This organization holds its members to a higher standard and assists them by providing continuing education.
The National Dental Honor Society
Our doctors became lifelong members of The National Dental Honor Society by excelling academically. OKU was founded in 1914-admission and membership being limited to those dental students who have distinguished themselves by excellence in scholarship, while demonstrating exemplary traits of character and potential qualities for future professional growth and attainments. The Society, which was established to promote and recognize scholarship and character among students of dentistry, is named Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Inc.
Student National Dental Association
We work closely with students and future dentists in helping their growth and development. For four decades, the SNDA has been fulfilling its purpose of promoting fellowship and cooperation among its members and aiding in the advancement of minority students in dentistry. Their mission was established in 1970, and it continuously remains to promote, support, and encourage a promising academic and social environment for minority dental students.

The California Society of Periodontists
We are also proud members of The California Society of Periodontists. They actively participate and utilizes their resources for the betterment of their practice and to serve you, their patient as well as they possibly can. Their mission statement is “To advocate, enhance and promote excellence in the practice of periodontics in California by serving its members and assisting them in their responsibilities to the public.”
American Academy of Periodontology
We are proud to be members of such a great organization as the AAP. The AAP is an association of dental professionals specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth and in the placement and maintenance of dental implants. The current membership includes periodontists and general dentists from all 50 states as well as around the world. The Academy’s purpose is to advance the periodontal and general health of the public and promote excellence in the practice of periodontics.
The Western Society of Periodontics
The Western Society of Periodontology was formed in 1952 by a small group of faculty members in periodontology at the University of Southern California. WSP is an organization dedicated to fostering education in the field of periodontics. It is a unique, cohesive membership of dental hygienists, general dentists, periodontists and other related dental specialists/auxiliaries. There is no other organization with this format in the world whose emphasis is education in periodontics and is non-political.
