Laser Gum Therapy
Known to some as laser-assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP), the procedure uses a small laser to go in between the gum and the tooth to remove diseased or infected parts of the gum from the underlying connective tissue. Before laser gum therapy, the gums had to be physically pulled back from the teeth, allowing the periodontist to manually take out the infected tissue. Below is an informational video on Laser Gum Therapy presented by Dr. De Andrade.
